Before the Controversy: FOX Carolina Interviews Jerry Sidell at Rusty Bucket Day in 2022
FOX Carolina’s 2022 Coverage of the Rusty Bucket
In 2022, FOX Carolina interviewed Jerry Sidell in connection with Rusty Bucket Day, an event associated with the Rusty Bucket music venue in Gray Court, South Carolina.
The footage provides a historical look at Sidell’s involvement with the venue years before the controversy surrounding his criminal history and participation at Brookwood Church became widely publicized in 2026.
The Rusty Bucket’s Connection to Brookwood Church
Jerry Sidell owned and operated the Rusty Bucket, a venue that hosted Christian music performances, worship events, and community gatherings.
Over the years, musicians, volunteers, and members connected to Brookwood Church participated in events at the venue. Historical promotional materials also show that families attended and children performed.
Brookwood Church has maintained that the Rusty Bucket was independently operated and was not an official church ministry.
However, its connections to Brookwood personnel became an important subject of public discussion after Sidell’s criminal history received renewed attention in 2026.
Why This Historical Interview Matters
FOX Carolina’s 2022 coverage is significant because it documents the Rusty Bucket during its operation, before the public controversy in 2026.
In October 2026, FOX Carolina revisited Sidell’s involvement with the venue as part of its investigation into his participation in Brookwood Church ministries.
The earlier interview is preserved here as part of the historical record of Sidell’s public activities and the Rusty Bucket’s operation.
This footage predates the 2026 investigation by approximately four years.
