Where is Perry Duggar?
On August 31, while we were discussing the newly published MinistryWatch article, Bryan Jones wrote:
“Jerry is an idiot for not disclosing his story”
“And being involved”
“And Perry”
“For not disclosing”
A few days later, during another exchange, Bryan wrote:
“Yeah let’s do it… and then we can egg Perry, Kim Roberts and Jerry for this”
I responded:
“It sucks that Perry has just ghosted you.”
Bryan replied:
“Insane” / “But he’s an attorney”
“So doesn’t surprise”
“After another year”
“I’ll phase him out” / “I’m done”
“The issue is he has soooo many backers that even throwing under the bus will cause a divide”
Those are Bryan Jones’ words.
If Jerry was an “idiot” for not disclosing his story, then how does that fit with Brookwood Church’s public explanation that the appropriate leaders knew his background and safeguards were already in place?
Or was this another technicality? Jerry disclosed his background to Perry in 1999, but was that information actually being passed along to the people who later served with and around him?
